Loppets can be enjoyed without resorting to specialized training plans, provided you get out for a few longer skis prior to the actual event.  It can be highly rewarding, however, to incorporate into your routine workouts designed to improve your technique, endurance, strength, and speed as a skier.  This article presents an example training plan for a northern BC loppet skier, which we'll be sampling from on our Thursday night workouts.
