Otway Nordic Center has approximately 5 km of dog friendly trails for skiers and their dogs.  Entrance is 400m east of the main facility.  Trail passes must first be purchased at the main facility in the office/rental shop. 
The following rules are designed to ensure all users have a safe and enjoyable experience.
  • Day Pass/Season Pass is required and must be visible at all times.
  • 3 Dogs/skier MAXIMUM (this is consistant with the city bylaw of 3 dogs/house)
  • Dog On It is a two-way trail. Be aware of blind corners - CONTROL YOUR SPEED.
  • Dogs may be off leash while on the trail.
  • Dogs must be on leash in parking lot and in staging area.
  • If you choose to use a leash on the trail, it must be less than 6 feet long to prevent entanglement with oncoming skiers and dogs.
  • Dog owners are expected to ensure that their dogs do not disrupt the safety and enjoyment of other skiers.
  • Owners must clean up after their loved ones.  Please use bags and garbage can provided in the staging area and parking lot, and while on the trail use scoops with orange handles and remove dog waste entirely from trail.
  • NO CLEAN UP = NO GROOMING!
  • Dog On It is a ski trail only-- tobogganing, walking or snowshoeing are not permitted at any time.
