Para Nordic

Para Nordic offers inclusive access to cross-country skiing and biathlon for both youth and adults with diverse physical and visual impairments. Participants utilize specialized equipment such as sit-skis, a chair equipped with skis, and sight guide for those with vision impairments.

Our club facilitates both recreational and competitive para sport opportunities, including an adult and child size sit-ski, as well as hosting local/regional races, provincial and national championships.

Together with our community partners we have significantly upgraded the Nordic facilities to be able to host Nordic events for the 2015 Canada Winter Games, the highly successful 2019 World Para Nordic Skiing Championships, the 2023 Nordiq Canada Selection Trails/Nordiq Canada Continental Cup, the 2024 Para Biathlon World Championships, and the 2024 Para Nordic World Cup Finals.
